where on web

Are you ready to blog? Just follow the above link. The Tidertechie blog includes blog posts, lessons, journals, and student work. If it is your first time to visit the blog, make one of your first stops be the About Blog page. The blog also includes rss feeds of other sites we use such as diigo, tiderwiki, and national news. You can also find our class calendar to check for project due dates and homework as well as the weekly lesson plan page.

WIKI
What is a wiki? A wiki is a website that allows visitors to add, remove, and edit information. Basically this is our way to collaboratively collect information. It is like our very own wikipedia focused on our class topics. As we work on various projects, the students add information and pages to the wiki.

SOCIAL BOOKMARKING
We are using Diigo as our social bookmarking tool. Basically we use the Diigo toolbar instead of marking favorites only viewable on our computer. With Diigo my students and I can share websites and even highlight information on the websites and add sticky notes. We can also access our bookmarks from anywhere!

SOCIAL NETWORK
Currently I am only a member of a social network, Classroom 2.0 and haven’t ventured into creating a social network. Maybe that will be an idea for the 2009-2010 school year:) Classroom 2.0 is a social network created on Ning. Ning is also a great place for you to look for more social networks to join.
